Introduction Paragraph


                Hello, this is Ashlin from Illinois. I am currently in 8th grade at Chadwick junior high. This is just a little bit about me. I’m definitely an introvert, simply asking someone for help or something like that freezes me in fear Unless you’ve been my friend since elementary. It might be difficult to get to know me I’m so shy but anyways here’s some interesting things about me.             
       
         What I look for in a friend is someone who’s kind, funny, and supporting, maybe even a little eccentric. Having a friend who is supporting is always one of the first things I look for in a friend, I often doubt myself and need someone to reassure me. A sense of Humor is something I would love for my friends to have, I often find myself down and what better way to cheer up than to laugh, and A kind friend is an obvious trait to look for in a friend that I believe everyone should look for.
                 
           My greatest fears by far must be heights, talking to people I don’t know incredibly well, and the ocean. My fear of talking to people and heights are just parts of me that I was born with. On the other hand, I’ve learned the ocean can be a treacherous place. It was July second, 2017, the time was around 4:30 pm, a friend and I decided to take a donut float out as far as we possibly could and ended up going so far we could barely see the beach. To give you an idea of how far we went it appeared to be a small yellow line with buildings behind it.

                Speaking of heights and water, the important things on my bucket list are go skydiving and go shark diving. I want to do this to overcome the fears I have some way of figuring out. Those fears make me feel like I’m missing out on too much in my life. My family has occasionally made fun of me for being so cowardly, but all they did was encourage me to face those fears. I used to be afraid of everything, but now it’s only two things. Now all need to do is bring that two down to a zero.

    You are way behind. Please fix this. You need three memes on the post that we stated in class. Also, where are your three photos? Where is your post about what surprised you after learning about copyright, what did you learn, and why aren't you going to use Google to find photos.

Veterans Day Essay

Veterans have put their lives at risk so we can sleep at night knowing we’re safe. They must leave our country and fight for our freedom. Not only do they risk their lives but might have to take another person’s life. Therefore, we should honor veterans every day, and not just veteran's day. Many veterans also face poverty due to one or more of several reasons. The number is only rising as more veterans return. Over half of homeless veterans have been diagnosed with mental disorders. Veterans should be honored every day for the struggles they went through during service, and upon returning home for many. Greg Blackburn, a veteran of the Vietnam war, told my class and I, “when you are in the service, it is for one reason: so, mother, father, brother and sister can sleep at night.” What he was saying made me think about how selfless veterans are.
